Kristian Daniel Colon-Gomez was arrested on a warrant for first-degree rape on Wednesday, April 13, the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office said.

Colon-Gomez allegedly approached the victim while they were leaving a gas station in Oxon Hill on March 30, the office said. Colon-Gomez then ordered the victim to get into his car where he started performing sexual acts against the victim's will.

The victim was able to escape and Colon-Gomez fled the scene with some of the victim's personal belongings, the office said. The victim later flagged down police and an investigation was launched.

In addition to first-degree rape, Colon-Gomez is also charged with second-degree rape, kidnapping, first- and second-degree assault, and theft.
